A small town artist with big wild west dreams.

Someone once asked me if I was a verb, what verb would I be - and no this wasn’t one of those tricky interview questions where your choice of cereal that describes you best makes or breaks your personality. This was a casual, group setting over drinks type of thing, but it became much more than that when I decided my verb.

Evoke.

No, I didn’t choose create or anything like that, because those verbs shared the same ‘why’. Why am I passionate about art, design, and photography? It hit me like a truck - I want to help people feel. I want my work, whatever it is, to evoke emotion in each person that comes across it. Now I’m not saying alligator tears are necessary, but bringing up a conscious thought, in the hustle and bustle of it all would be a win for me.

I was that kid that never left the arts & crafts table - I lived for it. And to be honest, given the opportunity, that’s where you’d find me at any party. So, here I am with my favorite pencil & paints working to live at the craft table everyday.

I love a good challenge, and creating designs to convey or enhance an idea is a puzzle that never gets old. Surprisingly, I am horrible at Rubik’s Cubes… but if you need a brand for your dog’s synchronized circus swim-team, I’m there.

I think I was pulled towards photography because I wanted to appreciate the things in life that are sometimes often overlooked. In a fast paced world it’s nice to be able to freeze those moments, take a step back, and gain perspective.
